NY Design Center

Project Overview
The New York Design Center, a distinguished example of historic architecture, has long stood as a landmark of craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Its intricate masonry details, structural elegance, and unique character reflect a timeless design that continues to enrich its surroundings. The ownership has been truly exceptional in recognizing the importance of this legacy, making it a priority to preserve the building’s unique beauty and ensure its continued vitality for future generations.
To support this vision, Hobo Construction was retained to perform local law inspections and carry out essential repairs. The project required full exterior access using specialized rigging and presented numerous unique challenges, all of which were approached with the goal of maintaining the architectural integrity of the structure. The scope of work expanded to include masonry restoration, advanced liquid-applied waterproofing systems, precision pressure grouting, custom fiberglass stone replications, and structural steel repairs.
Through this collaboration, the project not only safeguarded the building’s condition but also honored the dedication of its owners in preserving its historic character and enduring beauty.
